Initially this beautifully wooden structure was meant to serve as a booking office for PhotoVentures, but is was soon realised that there was a need for tourist information, especially on activities in and around Walvis Bay. The activity centre is strategically located at the end of the main entrance road to Walvis Bay that curves at Golf Club and is the easiest route to the Walvis Bay Lagoon, the Yacht Club and the Walvis Bay waterfront. Today the centre has been expanded to the tune of more than N$2 million to include:
- A Tourist Information Centre
- A centralised Booking office
- A Gift shop
- A Coffee shop
- Conference facilities
- Accommodation
